Why my team will win.

Karl won't let my team relax. Where he goes my team will follow thanks to his leadership and HOF influence. We will run the half court and pick'n roll offense to perfection where as Big Al will stagnant Ellis's offense.

Speaking of pick'n roll. Green adds an extra element to the pick'n roll with Malone as greens best assets are speed and playmaking. If Jeff Hornacek plays the point Green will really take advantage of Horny with his blazing speed to get even better looks for him and his teammates.

I have a high powered offense with the greatest offensive player in the history of the jazz. He can hurt u with his passing transition low post and can stretch it out to 20 foot J's. Also Jeff Malone helped create a lethal scoring combo with Karl Malone. And was a very good fourth quarter closer with his unstoppable midrange game.

Again I have a high powered bench that plays with an aggressive defensive style with Anderson Baby Sap and Evans with some decent rim protecting with Schayes 1.4 blocks per game, while at the same time providing some decent low post and midrange offense.

Just like against one love's team, Ellis's team is out matched. Don't think it would be close.

Starters

Jeff Hornacek vs. Rickey Green
Alec Burks vs. Jeff Malone
DeMarre Carroll vs. Richard Jefferson
Derrick Favors vs. Karl Malone
Al Jefferson vs. Greg Ostertag

Bench

Devin Harris vs. Randy Foye
Joseph "Jingles" Ingles vs. Shandon Anderson
Marvin Williams vs. Elijah Millsap (really?)
Danny Manning vs. Jeremy Evans
Kosta Koufos vs. Danny Schayes

Both teams are talented, and (by virtue of the first pick) Thee clearly has the best player in the draft. . . but he's settling for starting Richard Jefferson and Greg Ostertag - backups if they were on my team. Period.

I'm not going to trash his team to make my case. I feel like my team fits better, and his one clear advantage (Malone) is somewhat negated by me putting my best player up against him (Favors). But Green is not better than Hornacek, Jefferson is not better than Carroll and Ostertag is not better than Jefferson. Jeff Malone and Burks is a draw IMO. My bench is bigger, more physical and just plain better.

LOL at Malone being stop by favors. Not going to happen Ellis. Kara Malone is an all-time great and probably the most dominant offense of power forward to ever play the game. I know favors is a good defensive player but come on, Karl Malone is not going to be stopped or slowed down by Favors. Malone is simply too strong, to physical, and his mental game is every bit as good as his physical game, favors will have a hard time staying out of foul trouble against the mailman.

As far as Carroll goes, you do realize we are talking about the player who played for Utah and not Atlanta right? And he is not better than Jefferson. We liked Carol better because we saw potential in him and Jefferson is on the down swing of his career and wasn't in the future plans. Jefferson was also not well-liked due to the fact that he contributed to the jazz getting more wins than what we wanted in helping us to get a better draft pick. Fact of the matter is he did help us win more games and played a vital role in helping the Jazz win more games even though it was a bad team.

As far as Jefferson and Ostertag are concerned, with Malone I don't need an offense of threat like big Al next to him, and Greg Ostertag is miles and miles ahead of Big Al on defense.

As far as green versus horny goes… In my team writeup I merely alluded to the fact that green could use his speed to cause problems for Horny on offense.

I like Burks as much as anyone, but for Ellis to say Burks is equal to Jeff Malone makes me think Ellis did not watch much of Jeff Malone growing up. Jeff Malone was elite and very much and established player and had an elite mid range game that was near unstoppable especially in crunch time where he was probably the top closer for the Utah Jazz during his time on the team and being almost automatic in the mid Range game and at the ft line. I'm sorry, but Berks is not anywhere near Jeff Malone.

As far as our benches go yours might be longer but mine had a lot more nasty more defense and hustle. Anderson and Millsap are rough riders and Evans just out hustled everyone and made plays. Danny Schayes is probably the best two-way backup center in this draft, and Foye is as good as shooter as anyone on your bench if not better

I was doing two things at once. Talking into my phone. All things considered. Thought I did well in that post

I really like Ellis' team but Horny isn't a pure pg, Jeff is a sieve in the middle band doesn't know how to play winning basketball, and Burks hasn't showed he can be a strong sg in this league.

Thee's team is basically flawless.
