SF - DeMarre Carroll / Marvin Williams
PF - Derrick Favors / Danny Manning
C - Al Jefferson / Kosta Koufos

Tfivas' Case:

Stockton to the money man for threeeeeeee.

Ellis269's Case:

I'm going to use my best 5 in my starting lineup.

I feel like Burks, Hornacek, Carroll, Favors and Jefferson fits well together. Combined, they give me a group that can slash, shoot, play defense and man the post.

My goal was to put together a team that can play "Spurs basketball" and I feel like my starters and my bench fit well together. Some things aren't perfect fits, like starting and playing Burks primarily at the 1, but I'm not taking Hornacek off the floor long enough for Alec to get burn as a 6th man like he's best suited to do. I still think that he can play as 1, and complements Hornacek and Carroll well. Favors, Jefferson, Williams, Manning and Koufos is a really strong front court rotation. Jefferson might seem like a ball stopper and and fit, but the Spurs were one of the teams that was interested in him at the 2012 trade deadline.

When Horny needs a break, I'll go small ball and feature a lineup that has Burks, Jingles, Carroll, Williams and Favors. After that, the bulk of my team's remaining minutes will go to my bench players in their traditional roles and positions.

This was a tough one for me but tfivas has some real nice leadership that put it over the top for me. And Burks at the pg. Ugh.

Personally I'd have put JF at pg. better passer/playmaker

I've never really thought of Jeff as a PG, but should have considered it. I guess that was his primary position for most of the two years he was in Philly and he's had multiple years where he both shot and distributed the ball well.

After looking at things, I agree that swapping Hornacek and Burks is the best thing for my lineup. If I advance, I'll do that in the next round. Thanks for the input.

I'm convinced he would've been a better player had he played pg his entire career, think he'd have at least averaged 8 assists for his career

it might sound strange, but I'd swap Kosta and Big Al.

Lol at hornacek guarding point guards or trying to beat them off the dribble to get into the paint

Are u sure u watched horny's first couple years. This is true his last year or so but not when he first got here. And he played a lot of pg in Philly. He wouldn't be any worse then Nash was guarding other pg's

Oh my God.

I cannot believe I'm doing this. Tfivas has Stockton and Memo. STOCKTON AND MEMO!

But Ellis' team is better. Damn it! My homer ego and Stockton love is tremendously disturbed.

Ellis.

I post therefore I am...
