All-Time NBA Draft (not just international)

I would've taken McHale with my next pick, and thought about taking him earlier, but I was looking for a different type of player for my team and system.

At some point though, you just gotta go with BPA. I passed on him several times cause my first two picks were big guys.

But having a two-way big like McHale who won back-to-back 6th man of the year awards come off my bench? It was time to pick him.

Also in my offense which I'll explain later, he wouldn't have had much opportunity to do what he does best on offense. Just felt he didn't fit.

78th pick Antheny Davis.

I tried to talk myself into waiting on picking him till the 9th round, but he fits my team like a glove, and couldn't risk losing him. My team will benefit greatly from his defense, improving offense length and athletic ability. He is the next big time superstar.

Im going to bed so addictionary will just have to make his own pick tomorrow

And excuse me fab. Couldn't help having the third pick. Wanted to build around versatile C. That's Hakeem. Hakeem is the one center with really no weaknesses. Has all the post moves great and willing passer great post defender and help defender, and athletic enough to guard on the perimeter great shot blocker and gets lots of steals. He does everything at an elite level at the center position.

I can build a team around him by adding almost anyone I want. Most versatile center ever to play the game, and for the love of god... Durant is a first round talent, and not far behind LBJ. Easily the second best player in the nba currently.

hakeem had a plenty of weakness. hakeem was in the zone 94 - 95. i'll give you that. 2 legit top 10 peak value. but hakeem had plenty of mediocre years. late 30's kareem shot over young kareem all night long. owned him head to head between 84-87. wilt would own him badly too. and lakers shaq would simply out muscle him. young & inexperienced shaq did drop 28pts avg on him against hakeem in that so called 'ownage' series in 95 finals. it was not one sided ownage. hakeem had better of shaq, but 95 shaq was half the shaq. peak shaq gets whatever he wants against any hakeem. hakeem with his quickness would drop 27-28 on shaq too. but shaq gets his 35 and simply out muscle him.

no doubt hakeem is top 5 center. but if i'm building a team i take wilt, kareem, and shaq over hakeem anytime anyday.
