3 x NBA Finals MVP (1980, 1982 and 1987)

10 x All-NBA 1st or 2nd team (1982-1993)

4 x NBA assists leader
2 x NBA steals leader

"Dream Team" Member and Gold Medal Winner - 1992 Olympics - Barcelona

One of the most prolific players in NBA History. Arguably one of the best passers in league history. Could pass, shoot and defend with the best of them. Capable of defending the 1, 2, 3 and 4 positions.

Not a big statistics guy, so I'll just post his career numbers - Averaged a double-double for his career - 19.5 points per game, 11.2 assists per game and 7.2 rebounds per game. I'll let his play speak for itself. . .

Simply put, that dominant Lakers Era simply aren't the Lakers without Magic. I picked him because of his combination of elite skills, versatility, leadership and personality. I wanted at least one truly elite guy to build around. Obviously, Michael Jordan would have been my first pick, but I'm really happy to get Magic Johnson.

Thee Jazz Fan is up next.

I have third pick. Right now I'm working. Don't have time to make first pick and do stats till I get home. Is it ok if I just put the name on till I get home around 6pm

The first surprise is here!
Glad to help. Figured I'd have a different strategy for this thing than most. I love how Magic Johnson played the game. He's not as statistically strong as some other guys, but he's an elite player to build around and the guy was a strait up winner. I'm sure that some would point to some of the past centers or current stars as the #2 pick, but for me it was always MJ or Magic.

Magic is definitely not a bad pick by any stretch, just so many guys can go top-10.
