All-Time NBA Draft Round 1: Ellis269 vs. Rgiss

Which team would win in a 7-game series?

Mike Miller, James Jones, Eddie House, Mario Chalmers, Ray Allen...
just a couple role-players on the Heat solely to shoot threes to open up the floor for Wade, Lebron, and Bosh. so, yeah.

And that's true of any good team with multiple superstars who attack the basket. Jordan had Kerr, Pippen, Harper, Kukoc all there to help open the floor.

Shaq and Penny had Dennis Scott, Brian Anderson, and Nick Anderson

Shaq and Kobe had Fisher, Rice, Horry and Fox

Ellis only has Love. And Love won't get many minutes if he wants to be able to stick with my team defensively.

I really like the team that @Rgiss has put together, except that he's missing a backup for Shaq. Shaq will be in foul trouble early (not to mention hack-a-Shaq'd), and even if not, he can't play 48 minutes. Which leaves a serious dropoff trying to move Horford or Carmelo over.

As far as @Ellis269 goes, I think playing MJ out of position is a mistake. He would have been better off starting Frazier, and moving Greek Freak to the bench for some serious punch. I like Kemp, but think he'd normally be one of the weaker picks in this kind of thing, but on this team, I can see him just beasting out for some reason.

In the end... I went with Ellis. Playing MJ out of position isn't as big a mistake as... well, honestly, drafting Korver.
smh Horford really was terrible at Center for the Celtics this year, eh? And every other year he's been in the league..

Is he playing the whole game? Because you have him starting at PF.

Rotations are simple, and similar to Jazz this year. Frontcourt: Shaq goes out at 6 minutes in, Horford plays till end of Q with AK at PF, Hayward subs in at SF. Shaq comes in to start 2nd, Horford goes out for 6 minutes, Melo subs in at PF. Horford and Shaq finish the half. Korver subs in if Hayward gets tired. Same rotation in the second half.

But you already voted, so who cares.

Still doesn’t change my mind.

I was concerned about spacing with Ellis' team, but Dame having to guard Jordan, Klay having to guard Giannis, and Horford having to guard Kemp is just too much. Ellis' team will defend, rebound and run out.

just gonna talk about this as if it's over now. His size definitely killed me. I was worried when I saw my first matchup against him because 1. people always vote jordan over everything 2. his size 3. his athleticism. I thought I might be able to win over voters by really trying to exploit his awful spacing but no buyers. I really feel that his spacing would make this much much closer than everyone is making it out to be.
