I love wes team. probably my 3rd favorite in this thing. He gets my vote.

I do love allan houston as the 6th man though.

I'm not sure how Ron is getting stops. How many guys on that team play good defense? I also think I have more "big-time/clutch" guys who I would trust in big spots in Chauncey, Ray and of course Lebron, as well as Dumars.

I like the make up of Wes's team and can't see much ball movement or defense on Ron's. Kyrie and Kareem is a waste, don't see them working well together at all.

Wes.

Dr J. Is one of the better suited players to guard LeBron. I have a good rim protector at center and his backup. Amare was a decent defender before getting hurt which is the season I am taking him from. The only weak defender I have starting is Kyrie and if he is hurting the team I put in a solid defender Tiny. Dantley is a weaker defender coming off the bench but his elite offense more than makes up for it.

The bigger question is how do you stop my team who are all elite offensive athletic weapons? They are all capable passers. No one on your team can guard the GOAT on my team. You have no rim defense with some of the greatest players ever attacking the rim. It would be like an all star game for me on offense.

BTW, which season are you counting for LeBron?

Why wouldn't they work together? Kyrie plays well off of stars like LeBron. He is also a great shooter and can space the floor. Could just have Kareem post up and Kyrie dump the ball to him and either Kareem scores or gets doubled and Kyrie gets open 3s. Kyrie could also run pick and rolls with Amare or Kareem. People forget how dominate Amare was, especially before his first knee surgery.

Yeah, I just count that as a blank spot on his roster. Embiid has never been healthy to play at the end of a season or the playoffs so you can't count him.

Sure you can. Plenty of people have players who have had their careers changed by injuries. I think we are suppose to look at the roster as being healthy. He just doesnt have a lot of experience.

Would he pass it in though is my question? Or would he just continue to pull up or attack the rim?? Kyrie is far from a pass first PG.

I thought we take players from their best season. His best season he was injured at the end and hardly played.

If we take a small window from embiid when he was healthy for a brief window we should do the same for everyone and it would be silly.

Toughest series for me so far. I'm really not sure. Totally different styles, and neither team is that good defensively.

Yeah really tough..

Bigs: Amare/Kareem = LeBron/Webber
Wings: Carter/Erving = Allen/Hill
PG: Irving = Billups
Bench: Dead even

It's gonna be an offensive battle for sure.. like the team that scores 120 points first win kinda battle.

It would be an offensive battle and I can see some of those matchups as being close. I am not quite sure how Carter and Dr J. are equal to Allen/Hill. One one of those players is a HOFer MVP caliber player and the GOAT of the ABA along with Vinsanity whos best season is on par or better than Allen or Hill. But I guess those other starter positions are somewhat even although hard to compare.

I also dont really get how the benches are even. I have two top 50 all-time greatest players of all time, who are both HOF MVP players on my bench. I guess Allan Houston = Drazen. I guess if you look at a very small window of playing in only 31 games and never playing in the playoffs or even being healthy in the playoff time maybe Embiid is in some sort of conversation of being a bench player on the same caliber as my other big Brand. Brand was a 25 and 10 player for an entire season including the playoffs.

Yeah sorry I missed that Embiid is on Wes' team, you do have the edge on the 2nd unit.

I guess if you analyze it really closely then slight edge of Carter/Erving over Hill/Allen, but then Billups to me is also a slight edge over Irving in a 7 game series. So roughly those 2 cancels each other out.

I think most voters see LeBron's passing to Allen and Billups and think the 3pt shooting is gonna push his team over the edge. But for me you can't underestimate the dominance of Amare and Kareem over LeBron/Webber offensively, they could really feast at that end of the floor.

I am surprised Irving is being knocked so much. He has outplayed Curry who everyone thinks highly of in the 3 finals in a row they have played against each other. In fact Curry has never had a great finals appearance and kind of got carried to both his titles, but that is a different subject.

In the finals vs Curry Irving has averaged 3 more ppg on better shooting 46.8% vs 42.6% and has been better from 3 at 39.5% vs 39.3%. Irving also has more steals, blocks, fouled less and had almost half as many turnovers. Irving also showed in the finals how clutch he was with some big shots.

Lebron was brilliant the year they won the championship in Cleveland but Kyrie scored 1 ppg less than him. Obviously Lebron helped create for him but he was the #2 player on that team and it was a distant third. That team beat GS who had just set the record for best regular season ever and was being talked about as the greatest team ever. Little did we all know that they would get Durant the next year.

Curry is a million times better than Irving. Don't make me use all of my alts to vote for Wes!

I do think Curry is better and would take him every time. The gap isn't that huge though. Curry also hasn't played well in the finals, when it matters the most. I guess last year might have been because he was hurt. This year he played better and maybe just deferred to Durant who was playing out of control. Three years ago might have been nerves.

I haven't looked at any stats, but Curry played well these latest Finals. Obviously I'm exaggerating. Irving is still an all-star level player. Very versatile offensively. **** defensively. But still an all-star.
