^__^ boy oh boy is this a close match!!! Befitting of a semi-final head-to-head!!!


I still think I have an edge given that:


- Lack of 3pt shooting from Robertson, Jordan (33%) and Kirilenko (31%) will be an issue.

- Tim Duncan and Co. will control the paint, grabbing most of the rebounds and blocking shots down low.

- Too many defenders with Mutumbo, Dwight, Chandler, Duncan, Pippen, Kidd and Johnson. Team defense will be a strong advantage here.

Yeah Jordan is "The Man" of course he is.


But with Dikembe & Duncan manning the paint, these guys can take away the "drive" option for Jordan. Pippen can really get up close to Jordan and play him for the shot - knowing that if he drives, Dikembe & Duncan are waiting to block the shot.


No, it's not gonna stop Jordan completely, but it'll definitely disrupt his rhythm and slow him down. I don't think Jordan has ever faced such a defensive lineup before in his career.
 
Its not just th Defensive presence, bench or three point shooters at hotttnickkk disposal its the tall timber too, such an impressive front line mutumbo, howard, chandler all your boards belong to us and you aint getting into the paint easily with then and duncan on watch. Joels backcourt is strong but nickkks team is so balanced offence, defence, three pt threats the works. A worthy two teams and like i said earlier no blowouts here, but team Hottttnickkk for mine

I'm not saying that at all, I'm simply saying that because the 3pt line weren't there in those days, therefore we just don't know how accurately they could have shot shot it from behind the line.

Exactly, you don't know. Therefore you can't use Oscar Robertson as a bullet point in the "Can't shoot from the outside" section, because as you already admitted, you don't know.

By saying that he can't shoot from the outside, you are explicitly saying that you do know how accurately he could have shot it...and that my friend, would be wrong.
