You do understand that Irag DID have WMDs at one point. They used WMDs against Iran and innocent women and children inside Iraq and refused to cooperate with inspections that were intended to assure teh rest of the world that they no longer had WMDs, right?

The only weapons that Iraq ever possessed that were even close to military grade, were the weapons given to the "Mujahideen" in the 80's to fight up against soviet Russia.
Of course we all know the Mujahideen later became Al' Queda, and were blamed for the attacks on 9/11.

Clinton then lobbed a couple cruise missiles at Iraq and the UN impossed tougher sanctions that led to the the death of innocent Iraqi women and children while doing nothing about Saddam's regime or further verification that Iraq's chemical weapons had benn destroyed. This left the door open for Bush jr. to invade in 2003. It didn't help that Saddam bluffed that he still had chemical weapons in order to prevent an Iranian invasion.
