you cater to the whims of those who complain instead of applying the rules to everyone?
this is why people think you guys play favorites you dam dirty mods.

it's clear people who have an agenda (i.e. dont like my opinions on the jazz forums) and will do anything to hurt me.
like say my avatar offends them. its irrational. this is how you run the forum? lol. this place is in deeper **** than i suspected.

You know Heaven catches a lot of flack around here and he is going to garner unwarranted complaints.

So you basically are saying that you are going to let the mob rule. So no matter what is, if a bunch of people complain then you will punish Heaven . Even though it makes no sense. You aren't going to rule fair and even?

One thing I will agree with you on....pretty pathetic that anyone would complain about your avatar. Do you complainers watch sesame street all day? I mean Dorrito comercials are more risque.

well, i started a thread asking if anyone was offended by it, and no one said they were.
in fact, i got comments saying they actually liked it.
mods are probably just pulling **** out their ***.
my $1000 thread was locked within minutes. no way someone had already complained about it.
the whole 'we dont take action until someone complains and then there is a discussion and vote' is BS.
dont buy it guys. dont get brainwashed. RISE UP.
 
I know this thread is all whiney and stuff. But heaven does have a point. That is bs his avatar got ripped from him. There are a whole lot worse things that come out of here than that picture.

I just hate hypocrisy. That's why I got his back.

A complaint does not necessarily equal an action. But if people complain, we discuss it. I know you'll probably find this impossible to believe, but there have been several complaints about HH (mostly about comments) that were dismissed w/o action.

As far as Cocaine's avatar is concerned, I hadn't even noticed it until HH brought it up. But now it's being discussed amongst the mods.

As a mod, I don't consider it my job to patrol the forums. I usually don't bother with anything that isn't blatantly egregious. If someone else chooses to be offended, and it comes to the mods in the form of a complaint, then I am obliged to get involved.

The fact of the matter is, if nobody is bothered by Cocaine's avatar, I'm inclined to not worry about it.

For the most part, skin is considered worse than innuendo on this board. We get more complaints when the former shows up. Whether or not that is right is another issue entirely. But that's the way it is. As I have mentioned, there is a variance of opinion amongst mods about how much is too much. But if you are asked to remove something, it is because at least 3 mods felt it exceeded the boundaries established for this forum.
 
May I ask you a couple of questions, Heaven?

1. If, for every one disgruntled person on the board, there are hundreds who don't really take issue with the way the board is moderated, what conclusion would you draw about where the problem was?

2. If the board is so corrupt and oppressive, why not go to another message board? (there are thousands and thousands on the interwebz.)

He just wants attention, just like any 5 year old seeking attention. HH doesn't know when to give up. The funny thing is, he asks for answers gets them, then asks the same questions all over again, and goes nuts when he gets the same answers. Thank god I'm not a mod, and have to deal with HH cry baby antics!
