OKC pick is lottery protected. While you're correct that it's probably going to end up being better than the GSW pick, it's not likely to be that much better.

I don't give either pick... but the protections on that OKC pick make it more likely to be two second rounders. I like completely unencumbered picks although the scenario where GS is not a playoff team in 2017 is pretty crazy. You never know though maybe Iggy gets old, Barnes leaves and Steph and Green get hurt like Durant and Westbrook did last year. Even then with a weakened west they'd still have a good shot at the playoffs.

Lauvergne is a decent player on a good contract but we don't have time for him on the floor. Lyles needs to play and we have Favs and Gobert that should get all the minutes at center. If I was another team I'd be interested though.

Im pretty sure that OKC conveys their pick in 2018. I just don't see them continuing to miss the playoffs, even if Durant leaves. I think they'll retool like Miami did and rebuild around Westbrook. Pretty sure he's good enough alone to get them the 8th seed.

I didn't know the stipulations on that OKC pick. Thought it was this season.

Anyway, Lauvergne is a 7-footer rolling a 16.6 PER and can hit from outside (38% 3pt and 89% FT). I don't think that would be throwing the pick away. For comparison, Pleiss currently has a PER of 3.7 and has yet to hit a three pointer in his career (life?).
