Just read that Memphis is now with out Zach Randolph for 6 to 8 weeks with a torn mcl. So this is my trade proposal

Jazz trade

Al Jefferson
Cj miles
Raja bell

Memphis trades

Rudy gay
Oj mayo

Of course Memphis gets a pf that would make them better upfront and have a great 3 man rotation when randolph comes back. Miles is no where near the replacement for gay but who knows what he could do on another team. Bell gives the a wily defender like battier last year. (wishful thinking more of just a dump for the jazz) they might make the playoffs with that roster like last year.

Gay has a bad contract but is a good player and would be the answer at sf for years to come. The front court is now open for favors and kanter and even Evans to get more playing time. Mayo just seems like an interesting player and his contract is not awful.

Harris, Watson, tinsley
Hayward, mayo, burks
Gay, Howard
Millsap, Evans
Favors, kanter

I know the jazz would need to bring in 1 more big to the roster and burks seems to get buried you could always flip mayo some where else

What happened to gay in the lineup? He get deported or something?

Too late -- Memphis already traded for Speights from Philly to fill in for Randolph.

No way would the Grizzlies give up Gay in that trade, much less their two wing scoring threats.

Having Al is not a bad thing. He's put up 23/9/1.7 in the last three games. As long as Favors and Kanter get good minutes, I'm cool with Al.

I think you are offering way too much. I mean I am sure they want to give up 2 promising young players for a washed-up has-been a player who gets worse every year and a clone of the guy they already got with less ability but a better attitude. I bet they would take CJ, Bell and the rights to Mcleod. No reason to give up AJ when they are obviously so eager to gut their team for crap.

I doubt they trade Gay now with Zach out; but it bears mentioning that The Grizzlies went on their run at the end of last season and had success in the playoffs without Rudy Gay.

Despite his large contract, Gay is still highly regarded and would probably bring a lot of assets back in a trade - at some point I can see Memphis being open to moving him.

Why do you idiot jazz fans think you can get 1 teams tresure for your garbage.Really rudy gayand mayo for those 3 bum players. Some of you need to realize this aint a video game its real life

Nope. It's a video game.

How's the weather in Kentucky, ncoloradojazz?

I'd rather trade Jefferson for Okur. Maybe NJ would throw in a pick.

Dude, they just extended BOTH Randolph AND Gasol!
"COME ON MAN!"

Ok first Memphis was willing to trade mayo for garbage not a stretch. (mcroberts and a draft pick). Jefferson's contract is half of gays you point about extending gasol and Randolph also makes my point of them trying to stay under the LT.
I don't know when I posted that they had traded away Henry for speights, well really 2 seconds. Mayo is probably off the board but a 3 man rotation go Randolph, Jefferson and gasol is pretty darn good.

I agree, I don't think Al is a bad thing to have right now, however, I don't think anyone (fans at least) is considering him as part of the long term future for this team.

How are they clones? Randolph is a power player and aj is a fineness player.

You are right, they are both 6'10" big-bodied power forwards who can also play center, both with decent mid-range jumpers and some kind of post game. But AJ uses his feet more and Randolph draws more contact. They are completely different from each other in every way conceivable, they might as well be Rosie O'Donnell and Walter Payton they are so different. What was I thinking?
