Ante Tomic in Euro League Finals

Obviously Givony didn't see Tomic in Fiba play this summer, he was kicked out of a game for his so called lack of emotion. We wouldn't have scouts over there if Tomic was not considering leaving.

Tomic is not the only Euro player on the planet. It's routine for scouts to go to Europe a few times. I'll bet scouts for other teams were also present at the Euro League finals. Sure Fredman also wants to get a gauge on Tomic's progress, but I doubt Ante will be in Jazz camp this season. With Memo probably returning, the Jazz don't have many minutes for Tomic. Better to leave him there another year, tell him to keep working on his defense and rebounding and then the Jazz will offer him some money towards a buyout in 2012, when Memo's salary is off the books and the Jazz have a roster spot. The rumor was that Tomic was offered as a throw in in the Jefferson deal and Minny said no. So the Jazz had to ante up an additional #1 and Kosta. Doesn't sound like the Jazz have much faith in Tomic.

Hopefully, bring him over after next season. Buyout is very little after that and Okur unless he has a big turnaround season will be gone. Jefferson and Millsap could be close to the end with the Jazz as well. I have seen play a few times so Hibbert could be a legitimate comparison if he can bulk up some. With his recent games with Real Madrid I certainly have not seen a lack of caring.

I read that there were atleast 46 nba scouts at that game....I'll look for a link--With Memo probably returning, the Jazz don't have many minutes for Tomic. Tomic will be 25 then, I just don't see it happening. The rumor was that Tomic was offered as a throw in in the Jefferson deal and Minny said no. So the Jazz had to ante upAnte UP? Was that on purpose? I'll assume it was and REP you an additional #1 and Kosta. Doesn't sound like the Jazz have much faith in Tomic.

Talented. Super tall/skinny. Very skilled. No D or rebounds. No emotion. Soft? RT @diggitbrother:

This is pretty spot on(not sure if I agree about the no emotion part). He is gifted on offense, and I still see him improving there.
His defensive, and rebounding are the dissapointing aspects to his game. He simply doesn't compete hard enough there.
His rotation defense is sickening.

He is a good back up player to have though. There has got to be some interest out there from other teams.
He just will never be that good starting center we have always craved. If he is willing to be our back up in a year then
I hope we bring him over. He is worth it for his offensive alone.
