Anthony Bennett is Available

Cleveland should take him back because they believed in him so much in the first place. He would also be a secret weapon in the finals against Draymond Green.

We would be doing a great service for a team that is likely to start to make the jump to the next level at the same time that we would be. Bennett is overweight, suffers from NBA depression because of the splinter from the pine that he has up his nalgas, and he has less potential than people would like to think he would. Just because the Cavs made a dumb pick at number #1 doesn't mean that he is good.

In spite of this, we need a stretch 4 in a big way and Dr. Quin, Medicine Man could potentially cure what ails Bennett. If we were to get him, we would need to rob them blind. AKA, our #54 second round pick in this draft plus a few non guaranteed contracts for Bennett. The Wolves trade a $6 million bust contract for cap flexibility and a roster spot. The alternative is that the Jazz trade an actual asset for the washed up nuts and bolts (ie Trey) but we would need Bennett and the #1 Wolves pick for 2016. Bennett is not an asset at this point. He is an expensive, failing project. So trading an asset for him without getting an asset back is paying someone for the junk in their trunk. Not going to happen without an asset in return.

One more thing... Draymond Green is as ruthless as Stalin, as angry as a Wolverine back in a corner, and has more confidence than an augmented Jack Rabbit pepped up on Testosterone pills, Extenze, and Cialis at a Playboy mansion party.

Bennett plays with the passion of a necked, fat kid on a bike. He will NEVER be Draymond Green even if they had the same build. Ain't gonna happen. Bennett was touted for his offensive ability as a stretch 4 ability and as a capable scoring PF. NOT for his defense or passion.

the Cavs are so dumb. Drafting this clown #1, and then trading Wiggins. They dont ever deserve a title.

The Tpups seem to mirror the Cavs with so many bad picks, and with equal bad luck.

Somehow, someway the Tpups will blow this combo of (most likely) Towns and Wiggins.

Ew. I would kill myself if I was this fat.

I think you are speaking about something you are not to sure about. Ithink. He still has upside, problem t his option will never be picked up I know this. Its expensive. But I would go for it when he is unrestricted next year.

I love how people want to trade Trey Burke for the biggest#1 bust in history. Yuck. Burke has to shoot better but at least he is semi productive.

Hack just never gives up on the guys he likes before the draft does he? It's ok Hack. Ya missed on this one let it go.

I like Burke, but think his best value is as an asset now. With that said. . . this is not how the Jazz should cash in that chip. Trey Burke still has more value than we fans want to give him.

Nah, I'll give up on people. But I'm sticking with this one. I liked Jeremy Lamb. That was a mistake. I could probably name a few more.

I just think he still has some potential. I'm still aboard the Bennett wagon. If he doesn't do anything in the next couple years. I'll bail. But for now I'm not.

I think people give up on players way too fast.

The Cavs never should have drafted him number 1 overall. He's isn't number 1 material. But he can still be good. They didn't try to develop him at all. Then the Twolves were even worse with him. Flip Saunders is a moron. He openly states and believes 3 pointers aren't good shots. That should tell you all you need to know about his abilities as an evaluator.

I only give up on short slow players fast. Especially when they shoot poorly.

I hate to say this and is tasting awful on my tongue but I am with Hack on this one. Bennett has potential and I think QS can get it out of him. The Jazz would probably have to trade Booker to get him though and that would make me sad.

We could probably get Bennet for a 2nd round pick. They just want to get out of his **** contract so they can focus development resources on good players.

Add me to the "Bennett might turn out okay" camp. But he's a bit expensive.

You can't have given up on Burke and want Bennett at the same time. So I don't.

I think you can trade them because while they might be identical in concept (two players who could blossom) but different in what the result is when they blossom - and not in their magnitude of blossom - but their type of contribution.

I don't know anything about Bennett (other than he's fat as I saw from the posted pics) but from my very sophisticated analysis, the unknown that is Bennett looks a lot greener than the grass that is on this side in Burke... So trade 'em!!!!

He looks fat in those pictures?

Have you seen a fat person before? Serious question.
