When Ben Wallace was bought out, he was paid $10 million - the original deal would have paid him $14 million. Then he signed with Detroit (I think he got $2 million after kickers and bonuses), so with the buyout and the new deal he made most of what he was going to make with Phoenix already. That isn't possible for Kirilenko. If MIN buys him out for $6M, he wouldn't get anywhere near the $12M he'd be losing to take the buyout.

We shouldn't give up Tomic so easily...He could end up being one of the better centers in the league in a few years...There's not that many talented 7 footers in the league right now.

I'm betting since New Jersey struck out in free agency, they might be willing to take on AK's contract for a year...They are in need of size and a 4. AK would be perfect for them...We might be able to bring back Terrence Williams or Courtney Lee in the deal as well.

I'd take either of those 2 in a heartbeat for aK. both are decent players and would relieve salary.

Any chance we use any of our other exceptions?
