What's new

Anybody else think Alec Burks can be a 20-25PPG player with 30+ MPG?

He is really starting to come together. Also he has the ability that makes all the other top scorers really good. GETTING TO THE FREE THROW LINE.

I think it's time to unleash Burks!

He's showing he can score in bunches- I take back my early comments of him being more athletic CJ. I hope he keeps it up great boost of the bench but if this keeps up its hard to keep him from starting SG and moving Hayward to SF

His jumper still has just enough off nights that I'm not sure he can. He would really benefit from being on a team that pushes the ball a little more, total beast in transition.

He's getting close, though. Huge huge HUGE improvement from last year.

Right now, on AVERAGE? No. That requires consistency that he's not shown. Maybe eventually. Maybe.

There are lots of good players that score plenty that don't score that much. That is not common.

I feel compelled to analyze Burks last 2 games as I had a run-in about his skillz with fishon earlier this week ;) Rainy Saturday afternoon makes it possible. Or will I be too lazy? Stay tuned!

All I know is that I am now worrying more about how much Burks is going to get paid than Hayward. I have been big on Burks but at the start of this season I started having doubts. If he can consistently (?) make his jump shots then I say he definitely can be a 20 pt scorer. I see no need to start him because coming off the bench he gets to be the man. He will not get as many touches if he starts.

Let him play in the fourth quarter especially if he is hot like last night.

really?

why isnt he starting already

No doubt in my mind Burks could be a 20 ppg player. He just needs to develop his jumper and get solid starting minutes. I'd prefer if he starts, but as long as he gets 34-ish minutes a game and closes out in the 4th quarter he should be able to be a 20ppg player in the future. I've been very high on Burks since we drafted him, so glad he's playing so well

This.

He is already there as far as penetration, ball handling, quickness, finishing ability, and being able to get to the line (especially if he started getting the calls that all stars get).

I have always said that if he can get a consistent jumpshot then he will be a star.

Watch out.... his jumper is coming around nicely.
