ANYONE JAZZED ABOUT UTAH?
Apparently, the Jazz, threatening to become mediocre, are hoping to make some noise by Thursday. The Deseret News spoke to GM Kevin O’Connor, who said:
With Thursday’s deadline approaching, Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor admitted the team is “actively looking” at trade scenarios.
“In the job that I have, one of the responsibilities is to improve the team,” O’Connor said. “Now you can’t improve the team without looking to make trades, and that’s what we do. There’s 29 other guys that have the same responsibilities to their teams, and they do the same thing. There’s a lot of conversations.”
O’Connor noted that not much trading has gone on yet around the logjammed NBA. But he likes the Jazz’s “flexibility” approaching this deadline and in the offseason.
“We’re active. We’re listening,” O’Connor said. “We’re aggressive in trying to talk (about) things.”
Which means: You can have Devin Harris if you want him. Hello? Anyone?

Don't be silly. KOC's other responsibilities include scouting potential draft picks who will ride on team charters, wear jazz gear, sit on the bench and have a very minimal impact on improving the team.

As long as wearing pink backpacks, carrying supplies and going on fried chicken runs keeps the vets happy and productive, then that helps the team. My only criticism of KOC in this respect, is with all the workouts they have in advance of the draft, can't he include some dance auditions? He's done an absolutely horrible job with Fes and Enes. Those guys have absolutely no rhythm. I mean, I know they aren't porcelain white, so you'd think they might have just a couple of "go-to" moves.

I was excited about the possibilities of this team but right now I am apathetic about the team which is worse than not liking them. I just am so sick and tired of the Jazz organization bringing in mediocre or washed-up players to fill their roster out. What happens is they bring these guys in to take away from developing our young guys. Unless they just admit the Jazz are in rebuild mode and they are going to play the young guys than I don't even care anymore. I am absolutely sick of CJ and Raja, I don't care if CJ played well last night. I am done with the both of them.
