What's new

Anything is Possible Now

Really though, we should tank. I’d trade Mitchell to the Knicks for Barrett, Toppin, Quigley and three 1sts. If they balk, too ****ing bad. If they won’t throw in Quigley, then get whoever their next best defender is not named Robinson.

I doubt I’d reach out to them as it shows your hand but I think the Thunder are in a position to try to take the next step maybe. You could maybe trade Don there for a haul. Doubt they’d do it yet though. They probably want to see how Giddey develops this year.

It crossed my mind that the Lakers may blow it up here in a few days if they can't get a superstar to pair with Bron and AD. They risk LeBron leaving for nothing, if they don't. With all of these "Heatles" era ties now in Utah, and with LeBron giving a shoutout to Fizdale, Stephen A Smith dropping Utah as a destination to ship LeBron to it has crossed my mind that what if... Just what if LeBron could be heading to Utah.

With the Gobert trade, The Lakers now have a pitch to other teams on AD to get a lump sum of draft picks in return for him. Westbrook can be their tank commander (lol!). I'm sure it has crossed Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss' mind that hey, we are running out of time, and if we don't do something quick while LeBron is ageing by the day, and Anthony Davis could lose all of his value the next time he steps on the court that we need to load up on some sort of draft capital before we find ourselves digging a DEEP hole that we can't get out of.

AD gets traded home to Chicago for a package similar to Rudy's (the Vuc trade with Patrick Williams, Coby White, Lonzo Ball, picks etc)

Or to Toronto

I also think LeBron has dealt with enough drama in LA, and wants no business of teaming with Kyrie after he did a snake move the last time they teamed up together.

Sign and trade for Ayton
Trade for LeBron

If KD goes to Phoenix next season would be one of the most exciting and most competitive NBA seasons ever

I think Don ends up in Brooklyn… Simmons goes to NY… we get a thousand picks from Phoenix and NY. We take Randle as part of the deal to save NY.

Also, does the Royce O'Neale trade not make less sense with the Gobert trade?

Like if the idea was to build around Donovan, and the Jazz saw that Gobert deal coming, wouldn't they be less inclined to deal a solid role player away for a 1st? Royce would certainly help keep Mitchell happy through a mini-rebuild.

That move is kind of why I'm holding out hope Danny's ultimate goal is to get the absolute bag out of the Knicks.

OF course maybe that Royce deal was on the table and it was just too good to pass up not knowing what the future could hold, so you just pull the trigger on it no matter what. IT might not be indicative of anything.

lmoa, Don posted a story of him and Royce working out together and he was kind of laughing about the trade. It seemed like he knew they were going to be together again.

If we got Ayton for cheaper (say 2/30) and
gave up next to nothing for him, could we get Durant and Lebron?!!!

Bogey and two firsts for Durant
Conley and two firsts for Lebron

Mitchell-Butler
Beverley-Clarkson
Durant-Beasley
Lebron-Vanderbilt
Ayton-Kessler

How does that team not win two titles?

Lol
