Serious question… how old are you and how long have you been a jazz fan? Or are you one of the ones that came over after the Markkanen trade?

I can take this one. He is - believe it or not - an adult man who came over in the Markkanen trade.
He has been stirring s**t on the Bulls and Cavs boards, and even the Finnish koripallo.com for years.
As several other Finns here previously, I too sincerely apologise on the behalf of my countryman.

Figures. I only asked because he treats me like some idiot that doesn’t give a ****. I was a fan back when it could be considered the golden age of jazz fandom in the 90’s where I got to watch the greatest duo in jazz history those teams played near flawless basketball. It was poetry in motion. We could beat anyone in the league we were one of the monsters in the league. It was just unfortunate that that was during the hight of MJ’s reign or we might have had multiple titles. Since after 98 I think we might’ve missed the playoffs a total of 3-5 times in the span of 1999 to 2023, half my life!!
It’s been that long of the same tird **** being great regular season team to being exposed in the playoffs going out in the first or second round every year except for that one year when we got lucky that the 8 seeded warriors beat the one seed mavs so we got to the west finals and got swept by the spurs as if we didn’t belong. Then the jazz decided to trade Deron in which the core four were born. Many… most jazz fans on this site wanted to give the core four starter minutes, learn on the fly… me, well… I wanted to win I contended that we needed the core four to sit and learn, learn to play ball the right way. By the way these were the Coach Corbin years. I had many arguments on here with other posters. I got my way and we made the playoffs as an 8th seed and got destroyed hopelessly by the spurs. We never fully developed the team, the core four fizzled out and we were in a never ending loop of being good not great, too good to improve the team, not good enough to do anything great and it’s been like that for years. If we have to lose games to get somewhere by god I’m here for it I’m just jonesing to get back to where we were back in 97-98. I want to feel what it’s like to tast gold with the Utah jazz. I’ve tasted it with all the other sports I root for the Braves two years ago and well the 49ers were a dynasty back in the day.
@Tremendous Upside if I want to lose it’s because sometimes you have to sacrifice by tearing it down to build it back up stronger than before. I WANT A CHAMPIONSHIP AND WE WONT GET THERE BY JUST BEING GOOD!! We’ve always been good I want greatness!! If we need to tank to get there there’s no disgrace in that it’s called doing what it takes to get to the top anything less is not being sane!!
