Mrs. Peeks wanted a crossbow. I bought her one. She wanted to go shoot it today. She couldn't pull back the bow, lol. (She's strong as **** too.)

Maybe I should edit the part about not being able to pull back the bow before she sees it? Nah.

They are pretty hard to pull back. Get a nice back workout.

Does it have things to stand on so you can anchor it and pull it up?

Yes. I also bought her a thing that helps pull it back. She'll get it.
After a couple tries she was like, **** it, hand me my .45

One of my favorite childhood summer activities. I'll always try and catch some Archery during the Olympics too.

Can anyone tell me why Koreans seem to dominate the sport??

Haven't shot in years, I'd bet my form and accuracy are still on point.

Not really any sort of weapons enthusiast though. I figure if your brave enough to pull a gun or knife on me, then you've earned whats in my wallet. I wouldn't want to have to kill you if i was packing heat anyways.

My weapon of choice will always be a roll of quarters :P

Koreans have been using the bow as their main weapon since 1st century BC. Chinese used the spear, the Japanese the sword, and Koreans the bow. The old Chinese name for Koreans was dongijok 'eastern tribe with long bows'.
Then in 1899 the Korean Emperor made archery the national sport, after Prince Heinrich of Prussia visited Korea and remarked on their skill. (Prince of Prussia, not Persia) So... they've been doing it, WELL, a VERY long time.
