Are the Jazz Through making moves?

The last thing you do is trade a cheap contract. Burks isn't going anywhere as long as he is on this contract (maybe the last year of it).

Rumors are Steve Adams for a pick an cash plus a nother unnamed asset. OKC is going full philly rebuild mode an wants draft picks. I am hearing DL might be able to pluck Adams this summer an Westbrook next.

Source, please.

Why would OKC trade a young talented player like Steven Adams? He's on a cheap rookie contract. IF they were rebuilding he would be the kind of player they would want to keep. There's no indication the Thunder are rebuilding anyway. Westbrook said he plans to be in OKC this year. He's been working with Oladipo and other teammates this off season. He hasn't asked OKC for a trade and has given no indication about his intentions for free agency next off season. They have no reason to move him unless he asks for a trade or someone makes a crazy offer. All rumors about him possibly being traded are coming from outside of the state of Oklahoma, which says a lot.

If they are tanking for 2 years or so then they would want to move anyone who helps them win. I'd be shocked if Westbrook is not traded. Look at team track record, they proactively move players while they have value.

Steven Adams is the type of player who helps you win if you have a good team in place, but he's not moving the needle at all if Westbrook is moved. They would have no reason to move him if they are rebuilding. He's young and on a rookie deal. He would only be a benefit in a rebuild. As for Westbrook, they moved Harden proactively but that was a different situation. They had two stars in place and wanted financial flexibility to build around them. There were also chemistry concerns with 3 ball dominant players. In this situation, the only concern is whether Westbrook will re-sign. He's a top ten nba player in his prime. They can build around him and be competitive. I think they only trade him if he asks for it or if the offer is too much to pass up.

OKC consistently captures trade value before contracts expire for players unlikely to re-sign (either because the players does not want to return or because the team does not want to keep them): Reggie Jackson, Ibaka, Harden.

Probability that they let Westbrook walk for nothing is vanishingly small.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is the best adventure movie and Die Hard the best action movie. Of all-time. Seriously though, RotLA is so great. The opening 10-15 minutes. The bar shootout. The chase for Marion through Cairo's labyrinth of streets ending with Indy shooting the guy with the big knife. The snake pit scene. The plane/tarmac fight with the bald German. The subsequent chase for the ark, the highlights being the older badass German climbing atop the truck's canvas roof to get to Indy as he drives and of course later, Indy using his whip to hang onto and maneuver under the Mercedes truck. So freakin' epic.
