Scenario: Your 22 year old daughter likes a guy. Invites him over for dinner one night.


Family gets excited. Door bells, you (mother or father) open the door. There's some cool dude chilling at the door, same age as your daughter. You ask him if he's ever been arrested. He said he served a few years for child molesting.

You don't know anything about his personality just yet. Let's say he's dressed like a normal 22 year old dude.


What his your first reaction? Does it change as the night goes on? What if your daughter has a kid?



I mean it's 2013 for Pete's sake. We should be past that by now. Come on guys. Besides, you don't want the NAMBLA lobby listing you as a pedophobe on their website.

I ask him if it was getting busted when he was 18 for banging his gf or did he really molest a child. If he says it was for real molestation. I tell him I am getting my gun and I better not see him when i get back to the door.

You're a good dude, Stoked. This reminds me of the time I caught a guy smoking pot upstairs in my future wife's house. I went for the putting-on-my-shoes warning instead of getting-a-gun. Worked all the same. The GF roomate lasted 3 days after, although in hindsight he was pretty young and Sage might have been a little boy diddler. Pervs..
 
I am very glad I have yet to have any instances with either of my two daughters that test my restraint. I hope I never have to.
