Ace could be ROY and we can still get a top 5 pick. Those 2 things aren’t exclusive of one another.Think about it. If the Jazz are first five picks, it means that our young players are crap and that Ace played like an inexperienced rookie. That's bad news for the team. If our youth are talented like we think they are, the pick falls down to 7-10 right? while that is a solid pick and we could get a talented player, there's no guarantee that that is going to net us a star, and if the players think we are tanking to keep the pick they lose confidence; not in themselves, but in the team's winning culture. Add to that that it is possible to fall in the lottery and lose the pick anyway. My point is that losing a late lottery pick isn't a big deal, whereas developing our talent is. (example. how Awful would it be to lose Cody? Yawn.) ((sorry Cody, prove me wrong))
Depends on a lot of factors with how the season is going. But generally yes, I want young guys stepping up consistently and hitting game winning shots. We all want to watch fun basketball, that’s beside the point.
Let’s say the game was good, young guys got minutes, final seconds, do you want them to make the winning shot?
Knowing the more wins we get the less chance of a decent pick?
What if it’s at the expense of getting AJ?Depends on a lot of factors with how the season is going. But generally yes, I want young guys stepping up consistently and hitting game winning shots.
So you are creating a scenario that we have one shot that either gets us into the playoffs or miss and in the lottery? I probably cheer for the make, because the lottery chances are extremely unlikely in that scenario. What if it’s at the expense of getting AJ?
How did Dallas get Flagg again? So you are creating a scenario that we have one shot that either gets us into the playoffs or miss and in the lottery? I probably cheer for the make, because the lottery chances are extremely unlikely in that scenario.
