President Trump is questioning his administration’s aggressive strategy in Venezuela following the failure of a U.S.-backed effort to oust President Nicolás Maduro, complaining he was misled about how easy it would be to replace the socialist strongman with a young opposition figure, according to administration officials and White House advisers.

The president’s dissatisfaction has crystallized around national security adviser John Bolton and what Trump has groused is an interventionist stance at odds with his view that the United States should stay out of foreign quagmires.

Trump has said in recent days that Bolton wants to get him “into a war” — a comment that he has made in jest in the past but that now betrays his more serious concerns, one senior administration official said.

It’s almost as if trump should learn more about the people he hires rather than just hire whoever is kissing his fat *** on Fox News.

This has been going on since the end of WW II. When are we going to acknowledge that our "leadership" is under the control of the military-industrial complex as Ike warned us of in 1960 -- yes, 1960, and it was the outgoing President, who before that had been the Supreme Commander of the Army during WW II, and who knew a little about the military, saying that. But we haven't learned our lesson as history has shown, just as our nation's response to the climate situation is showing. And what's it all about? The pursuit of the dollar, the unbridled capitalist economy that rules our lives, the dog-eat-dog, get out of my way attitude that prevails in America. Just go out for a relaxing drive some day and you will learn what our culture has become. Just reflect on the hostility that prevails on Jazzfanz, the need to neg people, because of all the pent-up anger we need to express. Where does that come from? Think about that and maybe you will realize that we need to make some big changes or things will not only continue like this but get worse.
