Available Head Coaches

I know he i snot available but I would like to see Chicagos coach here in Utah. From everything I have read he is defense oriented and has the players respect. The Jazz could use that.

He deserves at least one entire season. You could argue that even after this one that he hasn't had a fair chance (massive roster turnover with an abbreviated training camp, pre-season, regular season, and too many games to have regular practice).

Everyone needs to calm down and realize how spoiled of a fanbase we are. Especially considering the market size. Things like this take time, and if the worst thing that can happen is the Jazz might get TWO lottery picks in what's supposed to be a great draft, then fine.

Spoiled is right. The fan base has not really had to deal with something like this before. The had what? 1 down season after Malone/Stockton retired? This whole new coach and rebuilding are completely alien to most fans. They are accustomed to a good team.

Corbin deserves at least one season and at max one season. If we wasted 2 full seasons on him and figured out he is crap after all then we are into risks of losing opportunity window with all our young guys losing valuable time of growing in a system as a team. The ones that are great competitors may get tired of losing and either get burnt out or seriously start looking outside when off their rookie contracts.

Utah had years of opportunity to recruit Tom Thibodeau, if they hadn't been so loyal to Sloan, despite clear evidence of his losing touch with the team, despite his going against his own philosophy of insisting on defense, and despite the notion that few if other teams in the history of team sports have ever given a coach a free pass like Sloan got.

And now that he's gone, we're starting to uncover how Sloan's sometimes irrational influence on draft picks resulted in choices that were detrimental to the team.
