For a two day or less excursion, you probably want to get a 50-65 liter pack. I have a Deuter 65+10 and it is awesome. I'd buy at REI. They have a lifetime return policy (if the pack doesn't fit right, etc) and they will help you check the fit in store by weighing down the pack and checking the fit. There are certain items you should buy in a retail store so you can check the fit. A backpack is one of them.
Having a separate compartment for the sleeping bag at the bottom is really nice too.
