Balsa Would Not (Trade for Cash Considerations)

So... Why would OKC just give us free money for a guy who's probably never gonna come over? Just looked up his stats and I think "mid" is an understatement. So this is not like a Luis Scola situation.

Dude has played in both of Serbia's recent World Cup qualifiers in November, a solid 15 mins in both. Can't be that bad if you break into the Serbian national team. Maybe some Euro scout has fallen for him and doubt the amount of cash was very high, so bring him over for summer league just to see what's what.

Do we have any more of these types of rights left (with guys stashed overseas who are unlikely to ever sniff the NBA -- guess we still have that Italian dude whose name I'm forgetting now, but has he graduated into the unlikely to ever sniff the NBA category?)? These kind of rights are mostly useful to help grease certain trades. Was OKC low on their stash?

Procida.

He moved to Real Madrid in the summer and doing decently there. Not a starter, but solid rotation player - and RM are the biggest and best in Europe. Scored 20 ppg for Italy in November's World Cup qualifiers.

Looking much, much, much more promising than Balsa.

Is he getting any better at shooting yet? Wasn't this his biggest weakness as an NBA prospect?

Well his splits this season are 56/43/86. Sample size is still very small, and last year he shot 38/27/70.

If he's even half a Fontecchio in two years, might be a useful, cheap, end-of-bench player.
