Backed this down. Eenie and I had a brief conversation as well.
I did this originally in a unilateral move as I’m really tired of the racist attacks we are seeing in the US. I don’t think there should be any tolerance for it. I think it’s disgusting and we need to all learn to be better. That said it was a bit harsh and this is how we learn, together.
Since it was the first known offense the moderating team more or less seemed to think, without saying it, that I went a little too hard too fast. I won’t hesitate if things like this continue of course but would hope we can all be more respectful.
