I bought a jacket from China a few months back and due to this, I got Bed Bugs. A lot of people do not know that bed bugs are actually real and a pain to get rid of. In the 1940's we started using pestisides that killed many of them and they kind of dissapeared for a while. However, these pesticides were harmful to people as well. We don't sude them anymore, and this has contributed to the growing problem of bed bugs. In just the last year, bed bug infestations has gone up 75%! you have to be careful. These little blood sucking ******** are likely hard to get rid of. The female's lay up to 5 eggs a day and they only come out at night, usually around 4-6 in the morning when you are in your deepest sleep. the Know where you are because they can sense the carbon Dioxide in your breath and that leads them to you. they also have atenna's that let them know where the warmest place to suck your blood is. Also, they are tiny and they can hide in just about everything. Usually, they nest in your box spring. I had to throw mine away today along with a ton of other things. It sucked. I also had to dry pretty much every article of clothing i have for 20 mintutes on high heat and then put them inside 10 gallon ziploc bags. Also, my room will be getting sprayed tomorrow. What sucks is that i live at my uncles and his house is huge. If they spread throughout the entire house, it will cost 2000 dollars to have a pest control come in to rectify it.
Interestingly enough, my uncle talked to a guy that works for the department of agriculture today. This guy told my uncle that he could get in trouble for saying this but that the best way to get rid of bed bugs, or atlest keep them away from your boxspring, is to put a flea collar around all the legs of your bed (It is also important to pull your bed away from the Wall and not let your sheets touch the ground.) this will kill them. I have looked all over the internet and did not find this anywhere. Nice to know and if you ever have to terrible experience of baed bugs, I hope this is helpful to you. Honeslty sucks. Be careful when you go to hotels, and airports. This is how people usually get them. My brother had to take all the bos springs out of a hotel in central utah recently because the whole place was infested. another thing to remember is that if you live in an apartment unit thingy, and one of your neighbors gets bed bugs, you'll likely get them too if nothing is done about it or if it is not taken care of quickly. It's pretty much hell. One way you can know if you have them is they go to the bathroom on sheets, mattresses and walls. These things leave little black marks. it looks just like someone took a sharpie and dotted your bed or wall with it. My word of Advice: Don't use China air and don't buy anything from China.
