Best Big Al trade

it was in another thread. I can't remember where. Does it matter?

Anyway, even if that is at the top of the list, there is nothing the matter with conjuring up plans B - Z.

Oh. Might have been in another thread. I proposed it. Two weeks ago.

And nothing wrong with other ideas, but what kind of idea is it if the proposed trade isn't even doable under the CBA? The Jazz also are obviously positioning themselves to have tons of cap space in the '13 off season. Why would the Jazz ruin that cap space for non impact players? Doesn't make sense to me.

FYI, I completely agree re:2013

but since the pissing contest hasn't abated, I beat you by one day: https://jazzfanz.com/showthread.php?10353-Another-Al-trade

I didn't think we could just get picks without taking back some money, so I threw Walton's expiring into the deal (without expecting him to suit up).

Since we are proposing crazy trades for Pau, who we absolutely don't need (another soft big), here is my trade:

Big Sally and Burks for S&T for Deron. NJ gets a name player back and a player they can potentially build around. Utah gets a superstar that wants to play here. Instead of trading Al for a slightly better, slightly older, more expensive player, they get a superstar in a much needed position. The only problem with this is the Jazz are very, very thin at the wing position. But, it is worth it to get a superstar in his prime.....Now to convince Deron Utah is better than Portland or Dallas....

I think 28 other teams in the NBA right now are doing trade machines for Pau Gasol.

To the guy above me, would Deron want to come back to a place that booed his return?

I only see teams who are on the brink of being competitive, or are already highly competitive trading for him. I wouldn't be surprised if some big 3-team deal went down involving him because the Lakers are going to be looking for either depth, expiring contracts, or draft picks.
