Best Centers in the NBA - Where does Gobert Rank?

Not sure how Drummond is ahead of Cousins, but like how he has Duncan as a C only time he really played mostly pf was during the D-Rob era. Also Gasol is ranked too low.

I will get destroyed for this but..........

Cousins should be #1 on this list, and yes ahead of Gobert. Gobert should be third behind Gasol

It's only his third year coming up. He will ascend to the top in a year or two if his first couple seasons are any indication of his growth

I didn't get why this article was the way it was, until I realized that it was written by the Magic's version of David Locke. And Locke is really great, but I don't think I would ever refer a non-Jazz fan to Locke's analysis. So that's why, it was written by a homer. If Duncan is on the list, why isn't Anthony Davis? Or Omer Asik? Or Joakim Noah?

Kind of a garbage list. EXCEPT FOR GOBERT. He will dominate and eat dreams.

10. Okafor
9. Brook Lopez
8. Duncan
7. Dwight
6. Vucevic (homer alert!)
5. DeAndre Jordan
4. Marc Gasol
3. DMC
2. Drummond
1. Gobert

Also want Gobert to not feel like he's arrived. Keep that hunger let that shoulder chip grow
I don't think this matters with Gobert.
Gobert fire, passion, drive, hunger, attitude is his best attribute imo.... And it's innate. It will never go away no matter how many awards and accolades he receives.

Never worry about that aspect of him

U misunderstand. I want him playing as if he still has something to prove.

I'm saying that his play will never change.... He will always play as if he has something to prove. Even if he doesn't have anything to prove, he will still play as if he does.
I believe its simply his nature to play hard no matter what

Every player has different levels of of intensity. Hobert plays with more intensity then others but all players intensity levels inevitably come down whether it's AK or MJ. GOBERT's is just higher then most players.

Feel like jazzfanz expects too much from Gobert and have put him on too high a pedestal.

AD is not considered center position and Aşık had a terrible year compared to his Rockets years. Noah should be considered but if this guy took the last season, it's understandable. It would be easy to throw at least 3 names out of that list (maybe 5) and replace them with more legit centers though.

I think Gobert will be like Malone or Jordan. Those guys always find some reason to fuel their fire.

As for the rankings, it's awfully hard NOT to project Gobert as #1. Simply wasn't a guy more dominating defensively over the last half of the season. Whiteside should be on the list instead of Okafor.

Why is Okafor even on that list? He hasn't played even one minute in the NBA.

Well, the thread title is a little misleading. It should be best "projected" centers in the NBA. The article is not about giving current ratings; it's projecting the 2015/16 season. There's always hype over the top picks in the draft. Sometimes it's justified, sometimes not.
