Utah is pretty up there on a lot of these

Who is the best head coach in the NBA?

I agree with all of these opinions except 2 things:
- Pops is a great coach and IMO, he is as good as Phil Jackson. Jerry is a great coach, too. However, I do not think he's better than those two.
- Jerry was a tough, hard-nosed player and every expert interested in NBA basketball knows him with his defensive qualities. He was a pure hardworker, great defender. However, I do not think his defensive schemes are that good. His defensive philosophy basically is not getting beat up one-on-one. That's how he defended Jerry West at his times, and what he wanted from Wes, CJ, Kyle... to do on Kobe. Our zone defense has been atricious, horrible, at best.

On the money with that analysis. And to add to that, I'd say another part of Jerry's defensive philosophy is to not give up any easy 2-pt'ers. Pack it down and let opponents fire away at will from behind the arc. After all, no one is capable of hitting the 3 with any consistency. By the 4th quarter those shots will start to come up short.........won't they?
