My wife's brakes need repair. I know its going to be expensive. I'm looking for the best blend of quality and cost effectiveness.

Has anyone had some positive experiences anywhere? Negative?

I was gonna say, "hey, mine squakes too!"

But then I wondered...is this supposed to be dirty? So then I didn't say anything. But I just told you guys what I was going to say, so now you know anyway.

I'm a believer in Honest-1 auto care. They've been awesome the last 5 years. Can't tell you how many times they've charged me nothing for repairs. I'm sold.

They're awesome but I don't know if they do brakes. They're at the top of Bluff near Sunset.

Ya, drive by there often and reminisce of stories of their greatness.

Wouldn't that be kinda weird if they didn't do brakes?

Do them yourself. Easiest job that requires a wrench.

Or bring it over to franks with a handle of crown, a video camera, and two propane heaters.

Sweet. Im'a take you up on it. Maybe next week, I'll let you know when I come in though.

How long do brakes usually last? My car has 44,000 miles on it.

The only thing I know about cars is where to put this gas and how to turn them on and stuff.
