Best stuff on Netflix

Bill Burr is my favorite. I came across this bit a couple years ago (which happened to perfectly align with everything I've ever thought about Steve Jobs) and basically devoured everything he did thereafter.

His voice is annoying, can't listen to him for extended periods of time but he is definitely hilarious.

Such a good show.

I've watched just the first episode and a half so far. The plot reminds me a lot of Fargo. The movie, not the tv show.

Also, while I like the lead character, I find her scenes sort of boring and am more intrigued by the William H. Macy character, his boss and the guys who committed the crime.

It is totally a Coen Brothers script. The lead character is kind of meh, but she does a good job. There is only 1 average episode imo, the 5th one I believe, other than that it is balls to the wall the entire series.

OneLove, I don't know what to say but boy oh boy.

Anyway, I finished Broadchurch. It was very good. I'm not sure I liked it more or less than The Killing. The ending was sort of meh but I liked it nonetheless. Just started Happy Valley. 100%/95% on RottenTomatoes.

Wow, that was quick.

Hard to compare the ending - Broadchurch had like what 8 episodes? The Killing had the benefit of 26 episodes. So obviously The Killing's got a more in-depth story (so far). Broadchurch season 2's shaping up to be another gripping series.

But what did you think of the direction, acting, writing, character development, etc, etc,. compared to The Killing?

I think The Killing was superior in every way with an asterisk coming for the awful red herrings at the end of each episode in season one. Some subtlety please.

Broadchurch was very good. Nothing amazing though. It gets an 8.4 on imdb. The Killing gets an 8.2 and imo, if it didn't piss off about half of its' viewers for its' season one ending, it would be around an 8.6. I guarantee a ton of people gave it a low rating simply for the season one wrap-up.
