Best time to Trade Millsap?

And I want to make a trade that forces Sloan to play Fesenko.

I would prefer a trade that brought us a legit center instead of a project. If you are talking trading Sap and CJ getting a decent center in return is probably possible. Maybe even a serviceable wing too, especially if we are willing to include other pieces.

I don't think he is a project. Everyone calls out when he gets in foul trouble in games than has to be benched. That actually happens to Centers for the elite teams a lot. Getting into foul trouble is not a bad thing as long as it was protecting the basket and not giving up layups.

Also if you barely play any minutes than when you do randomly play how do you expect a center to all of a sudden be comfortable with his teammates tendencies on defense and know exactly when to rotate. Big guys like Fesenko need consistent playing time so they can be comfortable with his teammates so they don't get caught of of position protecting the basket. Guys like Martin Gortat were struggling really bad with foul trouble in Orlando because he never got consistent playing time. When he did his stats went up and he performed better.

Fesenko would easily give us 10 points 8 rebounds and 1.5-2 blocks a game if given 30 minutes a night. A lot of people on this board want someone like Chris Kaman who doesn't clog the paint and goes for blocking the shot rather than positional defense. Same thing Jefferson is doing now. Kaman is not an upgrade on defense over Jefferson. He doesn't clog the paint.

Look at the Elite teams. They all have a center that clogs the paint just with there size alone. Not just shot blocking ability. When are fans going to realize clogging the lane with just size is way more important than block shots.

Half of fes's fouls come from either falling on someone after biting on a pumpfake, or a random off ball foul.

Agree here. Milsap has enough value to either fix the center or wing spot, maybe both. I'd do milsap for mayo and thabeet. Grizz would do it. They are not bringing back Randolph. Another trade, even though they are rivals would be jeff green. The trade would make a lot of sense for both teams so probably would still be considered.

Id do it with Memphis's first rounder thrown in. Thabeet is a bust so far and Mayo, although talented, is having his share of off court problems.

How many more stupid trade proposals for OJ Mayo do we need to read on this board? He isnt going to solve any problems. Trading Millsap for him would make us worse actually.

If there's anyone that thinks we'd be better without Millsap and with Mayo, please delete your account. Thank you.

I totally agree. I don't see what people like about Mayo? He's 6ft 3.25" with out shoes. With 6'6" wingspan. Doesn't sound like it would make us Elite. Maybe if it was Gasol and Mayo or Tony Allen for Millsap. But I don't see that happening. Sorry guys no Mayo!

It's not all about size. But when you go from not being that good to outright sucking on top of not being particularly athletic and being short for your position... do I really need to finish this thought? And this comes from someone that actually kind of into the idea of getting Mayo.
