Ummm No. Why trade away Milsap after you put up big money to retain him. Milsap and Jefferson can play well with each other, Memo will benefit from having Jefferson on the team. And the Jazz have Mr. Tomic and potential something with AK as trade bait or simply his contract expiring. They won't move Milsap

- A frontcourt crew of Okur-Jefferson-Millsap-Kosta/Fes is just a luxury to have, IMO.
- I would not care who starts. I just want Sloan to be flexible and be able to switch starting lineups according to the matchups.
- If you think Al Jeff is a decent defensive player, you are dead wrong on this, IMO. He is mentally soft, IMO. I think his positional defense is no better than Okur's.
- I think, Big Al - Millsap should start in opening night. Depending on the recovery process of Memo, it could change.
- Both Okur and Jefferson can play PF / C positions. It's a good thing but neither of the two are reliable pick'n roll defenders. That would be a real problem to deal with if this duo to play together for more than 15-20 mins.
- It's obviously better to have a reliable post scorer, a talented player. Hopefully, KOC will shut the mouths of some so-called "experts" up.

LOL. 1280 the Zone just hung up on a caller who suggested that Millsap play the 3. Millsap cannot keep with most SFs.

Will see more time as a 5 until Okur get's back, then he'll platoon with Millsap on the 4 and Okur at the 5. This does address some issues with our Center position and is an upgrade in that respect. Assuming we're final on this, kudos go to KOC.
Boozer + Milsap < Jefferson + Milsap is the hope. CB and PM had identical games.
The one place that PM could replace boozer completely is the pick and roll. He was getting it last season and he is a great finisher around the hoop. What we didn't have was a legit low post player who could ever score on any Laker bigs. It appears from the game to game stats that Jefferson can (never saw him play, just using stats) but boozer was mostly a 10ppg player against the Lakers last year.
So the hope is a a slightly modifed combination that will work out better than what we had before. I think it will be equal at the worst. (Barring injury)
The question mark is how Jefferson will play D against the long, tall players.
