Oh I'm in. Wow. I love Warren Buffet.

Now all I need is a Delorean and a flux capacitor.

Time for ebay!

The odds of winning is more than one in one trillion. That kind of odds should allow the likes of Beanclown to win.

On Quicken's site? Hackers everywhere are fine tuning their craft. That is pretty cool. I hope somebody gets it. I like the $100,000 for the top 20 too, seems like a fairly broad distribution.

The odds of getting the bracket right, if every event in it were random, is 1 in 9.2 quintillion. Since some of the games aren't quite that random the actual odds are a little bit better, but they are nowhere near 1 in a trillion.

They mentioned in the article that they tried several different ways to calculate odds and that it was a swag at best. But they also said that calling a perfect bracket was, for all intensive porpoises, "impossible".

Apparently there is a 15 million entry limit on this thing. I don't even know if 15 million people will sign up, but might as well go and reserve your spot if you want to play right now before the rush happens between tomorrow and the games.

Jeff Bergen, a math professor at DePaul University, derived a more realistic calculation that takes basketball knowledge into account. If you know the sport pretty well, he concludes, your chances of picking perfectly are more like 1 in 128 billion.

Still not so hot. As Bergen explained, that would mean you’d need to fill out about 90 billion brackets before you even had a 50-50 chance to win.

Even if that portion is nearly impossible, the 100 k for the top 20 is still sweet. And the odds come down to about 1 in 750,000 for that. If you win ESPN's bracket( and there is only 1 grand prize) for example, you only get a $10,000 gift card to Best Buy.

Most of us would still be filling out brackets if there were no prizes so I'm cool with whatever they want to throw in the pot.

Oh I still want to enter, I just found the article interesting and relevant.

If you read on in the article, apparently part of the entry process is answering questions regarding whether or not you own a home, have a mortgage and what your current interest rate is. Now I know why Quicken Loans is sponsoring.
