Billion Dollar Bracket

If you read on in the article, apparently part of the entry process is answering questions regarding whether or not you own a home, have a mortgage and what your current interest rate is. Now I know why Quicken Loans is sponsoring.

It's just one question about the timeline that you might be looking at buying a home in the near future. They'll certainly pick up a few leads, but it's not really something that warrants Slate telling people not to play.

I agree - Slate has some good writers; but a few of them are just ultra liberal haters.

I joined up. Although the article doesn't mention you have to enter a phone number as well. Guess I'll get some phone calls.

They mentioned in the article that they tried several different ways to calculate odds and that it was a swag at best. But they also said that calling a perfect bracket was, for all intensive porpoises, "impossible".

Entered mine tonight. My wife chose to enter hers based on uniforms, and how "cute" the players were, so she spent like 2 hours looking up websites of the various teams to compile her bracket. I think it would make for the best sports interview ever if she won.

Just did my bracket. I have Florida, Iowa State, Arizona, and Duke in the final four with Arizona and Florida playing for the NC. Florida wins.

BTW Arizona has by far the easiest path to the final four imo.

So if The Crony Capitalist of Omaha(Warren Buffet) did indeed try to buy someone out like he jokes he would if they were getting close to winning the Billion with a few games left....if it were you....do you take the offer? How much cash in hand would he have to offer you to get you to fold? 100 mill? 10 mill? 1 mill?

I would take 1 million if there were still like 6 or more games left. 10 million if there were 4 games left. 100 million if there were 2 games left. 500 million with the last game remaining.

Glad we don't have the same brackets - it would make me sick to have to share a billion dollars with someone else.

Serious? I would love to have 500 million dollars. I can think of lots of worse things. For instance winning zero dollars
