Some other 'columnist' from BR had the Jazz ranked 21st in his post, I mean 'article' yesterday.

I think this post from realgm is a more interesting post of random people's opinions of how the Jazz will do this year. Most of the posters had the Jazz not making the playoffs.

I think I can shed some light on B/r. I used to be a Featured Columnist for another section on there before I took a hiatus due to a lack of time.

You have to treat B/r as an OpEd sight with little credibility unless the articles are properly cited. As a matter of course, B/r disallows any "rumors" without that citation. Usually the editors of the site, if they are doing their job (which they do for the most part), hammer writers that fall outside those guidelines. Pretty much, just treat it as a blog.

Most times, a writer for a section will receive a list of story and article ideas from the Editor in charge of a section. Usually, that person will select a few stories and run with them. In truth, it's just in good fun, more or less.

But you can never really take the site, as a whole, seriously for hard stories. There are a ton of good writers, some bad, and a few meh, just like with any publication. Ultimately though, it's just a site. You have to take the good and the bad. Just like how some posters may drive you crazy on JazzFanz, you are still here though.
