Ok, so I just found out about this **** cuz my local store called me cuz I bought some Blue Bell last Thursday (and ate it all in 2 days cuz I ****ing love ice cream). Now it turns out Blue Bell has had an outbreak in listeria. Supposedly they linked it back to a factory in Oklahoma, and luckily the ice cream I ate didn't come from that region, but I'm still partially freaking out. I've been feeling under the weather the past few days, like a sore throat and a light fever. I'm probably just getting a light fever, but I might die y'all.

FYI
https://www.cdc.gov/listeria/

Listeriosis, a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, is an important public health problem in the United States. The disease primarily affects older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems. However, rarely, persons without these risk factors can also be affected. The risk may be reduced by recommendations for safe food preparation, consumption, and storage.

Many germs can be spread through food. Some, like Listeria, can be deadly. Listeria strikes hard at pregnant women and their newborns, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Listeria can cause miscarriage and meningitis. Most people found to have Listeria infection require hospital care and about 1 in 5 people with the infection die. Outbreak investigations tell us what foods make people sick and what needs to change to make food safer and save lives. We have made some progress against Listeria, which is the third leading cause of death from food poisoning. However, we can do more to protect people at higher risk for food poisoning and make food safer for everyone.

If you, or someone you make food for, are pregnant, 65 or older, or have a weakened immune system, you must be especially careful when selecting, preparing, and storing foods.
Know your risk of food poisoning.
Select, prepare, and store food safely.
Follow the safe food guidelines – Clean, Separate, Cook, Chill

If you aren't in the risk groups sounds like you'll be here to put down all the haters of your favorite jazz play for years to come.

hopefully you weren't pregnant. That stuff is supposed to kill fetuses like pretty quickly.

I dug through a **** ton of trash to find the empty carton of ice cream too. **** was nasty.

Wouldn't it be ironic if you didn't get listeria but got some botulism or some **** from digging through the trash? I'd laugh my *** off.

Come on man, trust your immune system a bit...Keep watching comedies and smiling and don't think about this ****. You will be fine lol.

In related news, I'll be eating some ice cream this evening (entirely due to this thread).
