What's new

Boise State Loses to Nevada.

How Nevada gets caught by that deep throw at the end is beyond me. They looked like they were in two deep trying to stop a 3rd and 6 play.

Kickers are dumb. They are such head cases.

Auburn should be handed the trophy right now. That is a brutal schedule.

I think the first field goal at the end of regulation was good. But I guess we'll never know since Nevada had freakin' high school goal posts.

I love the game of football, but last night its showed its only big weakness in the game. The kickers have way too much power/impact on the game. I read a tweet from Locke I think saying that kicker cost not only all his teammates a victory but also the school.........around 4 million dollars.

lets not forget that the nevada kicker missed an easy one by kicking it too low and having it blocked at the line in the third quarter so...

and the refs blew dead a clear boise fumble in the 1st quarter in a drive that ended in a TD...so its not like boise didnt have its share of breaks in that game.

Nevada showed what Va Tech showed earlier in the season that boise is weak up front. They dont have the depth to play a truly physical team.

if va tech doesnt make mental mistakes (fumbling a kick, fumbling a snap and having a kick blocked to yield 17 quick ones to boise, Va Tech wins in a rout).

i think boise would be competitive in the SEC and they might even win one of the divisions in a down year like this but there is no way they go 8-0 in the SEC.

^ that's what i noticed, Nevada was getting whatever they wanted on the ground against Boise's D-Line. they rushed for 269 yards, give credit it where it's due to the wolfpack

Bad way to think about things. Every single play before that had an impact to get both teams to where they were.

Think about this: You could have a kicker who made every single clutch game-winning field goal, incredibly clutch. I could have one that missed most game winners, a choke artist. But if my kicker kicks 90% otherwise, and yours kicks 50%, my kicker would be better, and my team would win more games.

I love people, but this post showed their big weakness.

This.

BS football, collectively, is responsible for the loss. The fact that it has to come down to the kicker is the result of the offense, defense, and coaching staff not getting their jobs done as they should. Yeah, it's reasonable to expect your kicker to hit those (either of them) but for the number 4 team in the country to let it get down to that...

Agreed. This game should have been over but BS couldn't stop the run at all late in the game. The big play which was the reverse, I thought Nevada was going to be stopped with a loss of yards yet he somehow avoided 4 guys ready to tee off on him. Then proceeded to run it in. Entertaining game to say the least.
