This is arguably the best collection of point guards playing in their prime the NBA has ever seen. I think Rondo is vastly overrated. He's in a perfect situation for him. He plays with 3 HOFers. How could he not pile up assists in that lineup. He can't shoot. 46% from the FT line is embarrassing for any guard in the NBA.
Give me a compelling argument why Rondo is better than any of those guys I put in front of him.
30% from 3, 46% from the line. Did you know a layup is not the same as a jumpshot? It's common knowledge Rondo can't hit a shot in-game, he allowed the Lakers to play 5 on 4 on defense last year.
What evidence do you have that Rondo is a good jumpshooter? FG% is probably the worst indicator of a jump shooter as most centers have the best FG% in the NBA. Are you saying Joel Pryzbilla and Nene are the best shooters in the game today?

What is laughably stupid is the number of people that like to spend their time on forums insulting total strangers. No one said anything about jump shots. The bottom line is that if an NBA player is hitting more than fifty percent of his shots, he's doing okay in my book. It means he's making the correct choices in the shots he takes. I never said he was a good jump shooter, just that he's not a terrible shooter, in general. The original question was whether or not Rondo belonged in the discussion and I think he clearly does for the reasons I stated.

Its kind of like the regular media. Most people dont actually try to watch and listen to see what is really going on. They just go by what the media feeds them. Sportscenter feeds us Rose every night, almost every shot he takes and tells us how great he is.
Im not saying he isnt a great player, but it isnt surprising he is leading a poll. Do I think he is the best PG? Hell no.
