Boozer to Orlando?

On espn it says Boozer is on DHoward's short list of players they should go after.. Boozer for Gortat and Bass? I think Orlando would be all over that. I think the Magic might have to add an additional player, but this would be a great trade for both teams IMO.

Boozer would do great in Orlando, especially next to the best defensive center in the league. We would add size and a great backup to Millsap in Bass.

Bass and Gortat make the Jazz better? Really can't see it. Here are a couple of guys who have never been on the main stage. Boozer is worth more if he just walks away then the Jazz getting a couple of more contracts.

Did anyone else hear the discussion on 1280 the other day? The argument was basically that the Jazz are likely better off not taking back significant contracts (if any) for Boozer as well as not re-signing Korver and letting AK's deal expire next year. They would have lots of young talent and enough room to go after someone like Horford or Marc Gasol.
I would much rather see something like this happen than be stuck with Gortat's deal and role players that don't get us anywhere but a first round exit.

Man, no offense but 1280 is the equivalent of placing a mic between cubicles at (insert any office in SLC) and listening to very averagely informed sports fans give retarded opinions. Sometimes the most BASIC concepts fly right over their collective heads. They should NEVER (can I stress that enough?) be used as a source or someone to back up your point with.

So, what is wrong with this BASIC idea of keeping cap space until the new CBA? I could care less that the idea came from 1280, but I do think the idea deserves some discussion. Almost everyone on this board is talking about having to make big, cap-clogging moves this summer. I think there is some wisdom in taking a small step back this year in order to keep future flexibility. Look at what KOC was able to do just after Stockton and Malone left. I think he deserves a shot to see what he can do with cap space and (hopefully) a CBA that allows the Jazz a more level playing field with big market teams

The one major problem with it is practical. Even with Cap Space, there's no telling what the Jazz could or couldn't get on the open market for potentially available players. Whether Gortat is the guy you sacrifice that possibility for IS the question since he's relatively unproven and signed to a potentially troublesome deal. But it might be a gamble worth taking as long as Orlando kicks in whatever else the Jazz want. Gortat and (say) Anderson is probably a better risk than the "chance" to solve frontcourt issues in Free Agency a year later.

I would probably be ok with Boozer for Gortat, Anderson and TPE. The idea being tossed around with having future cap space is going after teams' RFA. Horford and Gasol are two major ones.
