I think the FO believes Cotton was a real steal. He's going to be a good 3rd PG for us.

I think he is going to challenge Trey for 2nd PG. I think his speed and hops make him more of an NBA talent. Might come down to shooting too, and Trey better start making.

Yeah, I was there for that. Here's a clip of Cotton's best that night:

Pump your brakes. Those were some bad *** dunks and they look super cool due to cottons height but lavine can do every one of them in his sleep.
I mean a couple of those dunks were really just catching the ball at its highest point off the bounce and dunking it. About the easiest dunk to do.

I'm not sure that I want him as our primary backup, but I'm good with trading Trey and hopefully getting something decent back for him. Love what little I've seen from Cotton so far though.

God will help Cotton with his handle, that's for sure. Glad he's working with him. I love it when players take it upon themselves to put in the work to get better. It gives them a higher chance of succeeding.

Heard DL the other day on the radio. He said something along the lines of "if you have to push a guy to get to the gym, you got the wrong guy.' Good to see Cotton working hard. Would definitely take him over trey right now.

Can we just trade Burke and have this guy be our backup. He's exactly what I want in a backup... explosive energy guy who can shoot... can change a game with a scoring burst. He's small, but I don't care.

Agreed. I love those backup pg who come in and kill you with quickness. And then there's Trey. Probably set some sort of record for fewest fast breaks by a PG.

Gym rats usually make the best players. They couldn't keep Stockton out of the gym during his playing days. I remember him working with Gonzaga, playing pickup games locally and in Washington, being seen here and there with a ball in his hands. Good to see us getting a few of those. Love the gym rats.

Providence was the only Division 1 to offer Cotton, a couple of days before he was to attend a junior college. Undrafted. Sometimes when you come up short(pun intended), you're driven to prove everyone wrong. Cotton is a man absolutely driven to succeed.

Not that it matters that much, but I thought that looked like Shammgod under the basket. So I looked closely, and that workout was at Providence, not Utah. Whoever posted it to Big East Coast Bias made a mistake, you can see a Big East logo at one end of the court. For a second, I thought maybe Shammgod went with him as his trainer to Utah, but no, the workout was in Providence....
