Cotton has been killing it for years.

good vid.

Since you've been a Trey stalwart, I'm curious, how do you feel about Cotton with the Trey situation, i.e., Neto showing promise, and the team's desire to develop Exum into a franchise player?

I am trying to be patient but it would be nice if we had a STARTING PG that averaged more than 5 pts and 2 assists /game. I am not convinced that Exum is our starter. I hope we have a real nice off season with this young guy and see him get stronger and more confident driving the lane.

People in Providence, myself included, noticed this nickname. Somebody said, in so many words, "well, that's Utah for you". I'm glad to see that is not the case at all. I see a lot of bickering here, and not my place to jump in, because you are all long term regulars familiar with one another, and I am not. But, honestly, when I saw it, I wondered "wow, they just put things like that right out there in Utah? Wow." I'm glad it was removed, and sorry it took away a little from this appreciation thread. Good job self correcting that. It did bother people in Providence, and we did wonder if that were the norm somehow. Glad it was corrected, and please don't use any comments I make here to stir the pot any. Not my intention at all. Just wanted you to know it was noticed and those kind of things will always reflect poorly. Always.
So I'm glad to see it bothered folks here as well, and was removed.

Just a lapse in judgement. Sincerely apologize. I am in no way racist and the comment was not meant to be racist at all. Apologize for the insensitivity.

It's interesting to watch him compared to Burke. Although Burke's skillset in some ways is better, I think Cotton has some not so obvious physical advantages that will be a huge boon to him going forward - His quickness is probably what sticks out most to me. I think with some seasoning there's no reason he couldn't be at least a good rotation player (which honestly is probably Trey's ceiling).

Here is a Bryce Cotton compilation with summer, D-league, and Jazz highlights. We should get to see him in summer league.

I think Cotton could be our Patty Mills. He can play. I really believe there is a spot for him in the NBA

@ 7:55 is the play we ran for the amazing alley-oop dunk being run for him while he was on his D-League team. I remember Quin saying that is where they got the idea for the play from.

It is a fact, that it took a shoulder injury to Kris Dunn, to hand over the duty of starting pg to Bryce Cotton in his senior year at Providence. Without that injury, Cotton would have been the 2 guard in his last year. He can shoot, he would have been good, but had that been the case, not only is he not drafted, but it's unlikely he's gotten this far even. He made himself a very effective pg because of an injury to a guy who just decided to not get drafted in the first round this year.
Both Cotton and Dunn were/are worked out by NYC legend God Shammgod. Cotton gives Shammgod a lot of credit. Providence fans are desperate for Shammgod to be hired full time to work out our guards and hopefully help recruit targeted guards. You know Shammgod gets a lot of nods as "best handle ever". Cotton's development was certainly not hurt by having Shammgod as a mentor.
