What's new

Bucks at Jazz: 7pm MT

I’ll place the Jazz with the likes of Boston, OKC, Denver, Indy and Philly.

Agreed on the next tier though. I’ll take 5 west teams over the next east team.
Should have put the Jazz in there as well. I was just taking the current standings.

As for Mitchell, I agree with what has been said. He's a star and upped his game to superstar level against Milwaukee. And he's only in his 2nd year.. I really hope Lindsey can get him a sidekick. That would make Donovan so much more dangerous.

It needs to happen. Favors had a statement game tonight of his own, but Utah has to find a solution to another player who can create their own shot. As much as I love the guy, Rubio is becoming expendable. Renouncing him, Neto, and the increased cap could net a nice player in the office season. Donovan was simply unconscious last night.

Neto is getting paid peanuts I don't think renouncing him is a great idea considering the value he can bring when he's able to stay on the court. Agree with the rest though

I loved when they showed the bench during our comeback too. Rubio and Sef looked so excited and weren’t even a part of it.

Not sure if I saw Gobert.

I agree about Rubio, but I just don't see any of the top tier players coming to Utah. I predict Lindsey will try to shore up the team via the MLE, but a trade is more likely next year than signing a FA of any significance. Maybe Rubio, if he doesn't get a better offer, returns on a contract like Favors. Having a contract like that to trade might be a pretty good option.

True. It's hard to see where Utah lands a top-tier FA. But we don't need a superstar. A Tobias Harris type of player would be killer with the Jazz. Utah has their superstars with Mitchell and Gobert. They simply need a 2nd/3rd option on offense (When was the last time we said that?).

I would watch to see how much PG Mitchell plays the remainder of the year. If he gets the bulk of his minutes there, or even half, then Ricky is gone (and probably Neto as well). Utah has to do something this off-season and there was WAY too much smoke about Connelly for someone not to be toasting marshmellows. The Jazz can make some space quickly and, assuming the cap projections hold, have a nice amount of space under the cap.
