Build Around Gobert and DM Thread

If the bucks have a need it's to lower their cap and to surround Giannis with shooters. Hood would do really well I. Milwuakee. He makes sense because he is such a nice complimentary player.

If we do offer jabari a contract that they didnt want to Match, I would imagine that they would counter by offering good a contract for less than we did for jabari. Hood is a better match with Giannis and jabari meets our needs as a scorer and a stretch four in a small lineup, and all star potential.

All that said, I doubt either gets traded before the end of the year.

Lakers seem to have a bit of a log jam at pf. Would they be willing to trade us Nance JR for a reasonable price. Would he fit?

I'm not picking Bledsoe over Brogdon, but there is a reason the Bucks have shown a ton of interest in Bledsoe since he has been available. They want both.

I like the Parker fit as well but regardless of the target, all non-Gobert/Mitchell assets (aside from Exum, due to his current talent vs value ratio) should be condensed for that 3rd impact player.

As the op stated, Gobert& Mitchell are clearly the future. Rubio, Hood, Ingles, & Favors all bring value to this team but imo we need to focus on collecting as much potential impact talent now & worry about replacing complimentary pieces later, once the foundation has been built.

Because, currently, imo we're at least 1 elite piece away from that potential championship foundation.

Okay, so the Bledsoe deal means Parker is off the table until the summer when we could try to sign him. So I will move on for now...

The next best deals for our ideal 4 are:

Julius Randle (will LA keep him, pay him and lose out on PG or LeBron?)

Kuzma - highly unlikely but if they can move Deng and like Ingram more, it might be conceivable.

Jae Crowder - the Cavs are known for knee jerk reactions. Maybe Favors and Joe Johnson get it done for Jae and somebody like Shumpert.

Mirotic or Portis - shot in the dark, but maybe Chicago moves one for a minor asset like a 2nd.

I would have thought changes of speed are what average-good athletes use to keep elite athletes off balance.

Harden can change speeds faster than most in the NBA, and it's his big skill. Not saying Mitchell is harden, but that skill is a huge difference from other athletes.

Let's just go get Anthony Davis. Davis+Gobert+Mitchell = rings!!

We just need another home run in the draft, and it's really not that far out of the question at this point, with DL's drafting history. We could legitimately build a starting five out of his draftees if we had landed Kuzma and Exum wasn't injured.
