Great trade for the Lakers but more for next year. Freed up critical cap space and got rid of a horrible contract so they can bring LeBron to Hollywood.

Great trade for the Lakers but more for next year. Freed up critical cap space and got rid of a horrible contract so they can bring LeBron to Hollywood.

They sold low on Russell, which would be fine if it impacted them immediately, but for cap space next year? Not only that, but who knows if they can even use that cap space. No guarantees on anybody, and certainly not LeBron.

Anyway, a lot of things would have to go their way for this to end up being a great trade. Could easily end up being a really bad trade.
