I have a question. Is Waffle House actually good or just a place to go to see a mini riot?
I'm in Columbia, South Carolina at the moment and there are two Waffle House locations within 5 miles of me. I'm intimidated to go there by myself and I have very limited personal time.

Less that it's good and more that it's open 24 hours. Just really basic diner food.

Do they eat the fallen combatants from the previous hour's melee? Because that's what I expect my Waffle House experience to be like.

Waffle house for me was like a 1 star diner. I would prefer virtually any other option to the waffle house. The service was terrible, thr food was below par, and the price was the same as the village inn or black bear which are both WAY better options.
I went to one once while I was in Missouri. The food wasn't bad and the service was good. The food came out surprisingly fast. The staff did look like they came out of central casting but they did their job well.
