Burke shooting the most and poorly, whats changed

SMH.

Prove them wrong Burke.

Yes, Trey, grow 6 inches and gain some serious quickness, cause you could use both of them. Boyz, trey is just lacking in some critical physical attributes and there is no getting around that. He could be a good pass first pg, but nothing more.

Hey OP, nothing has changed. The haters are still haters. Improvements be damned.

I don't want to pile on, because it really doesn't seem to me like he takes a lot of bad shots. I'm surprised by his percentages. What does bother me is he will do the PNR and as Favors or Gobert roll to the hoop, Burke will throw the ball at their feet. I thought his strength was supposed to be the PNR?

You said it above. He just has to prove them wrong. He has yet to do that. This isn't rocket science. If/when he plays well over an extended period, the "haters" will disappear. It's really that simple.

He has shown improvement over last year. Yes it is early but the signs are there. Better shot selection and D to be specific.

He still has a long way to go but I will never embrace the trend of racking our own players over the coals. Even if I want them traded.

trey has to shoot because we pass and pass(which is good) and trey ends up getting the ball because nothing is there(which is not good) and only 4-5 sec left(which is not good) on the clock and trey doesn't want to over pass and turn the ball over(which is good).

trey shoots because nobody steps up and wanting to take over. we don't have 1 on 1 guy in this team. we don't have a bail out guy. no melo, no harden, no nothing. we move the ball and gets everybody involved, but we can't break the defense and we don't have that superstar who can regularly take 20 shots like it's nothing.

if you don't see this then shame on you.

That may be true, but the shots have to start dropping.

Burke is simply not that good imo. I think he has forced things too often and taken bad shots.

I also think that Snyder is partly to blame. Burks and Hayward should be getting more pick n rolls ran for them (and a few more iso's in burks case) and burke should have less

Thank you. Been looking for a burks or Hayward pick'n roll for two games now, and running pick'n roll through Burks would eliminate some of his Rogue play, and get him better shots. He should be getting more then 2 assists. He has a lot of the same skill sets as Hayward does. QS should do better at utilizing them.

To the OP:

1. How many of his shots are taken with <6 seconds left on the shot clock?

2. Of the shots he takes with 6+ seconds left on the clock, how many should he have passed up? Why?
Oh, haven't seen "CJ Miles defense" on this board in a while. Where is my popcorn?

So, critiquing our players means that we hate them if we see some negative attributes? I guess that coaches and GMs are real haters then, as they must constantly critique and constantly look for the negative, as well as the positive. Got some rosey colored glasses we should all wear all the time? Just don't look at the box score and W-L column? Calling folks haters but offering no rebutal to serious questions is disengenuous. What do you see as Trey's great strengths? Why should he take the most shots?

I don't hate Trey or anyone else on the team, but there are objective facts: how tall is he? When was the last time he blew past his guys and slammed it home? When was the last time he got around the big on the P&N, got into the middle of the lane and dropped it off for an easy dunk? The last one, maybe once in a great while, but not often. Conclusion: he is physically challenged for the NBA, short, not particularly quick, not very athletic. Nor is he a deadeye shooter. And you really want him taking the most shots?
