BYU basketball RPI rating now #1

If I recall correctly, the RPI rating is the one preferred by the NCAA tournament selection/seeding committee, so I looked up the current RPI rankings. I was fairly surprised to see BYU rated #1:

BYU is also ranked #3 in Sagarin's computer rankings:

After looking at those rankings, I think if BYU wins out they will get a #1 seed. It'll be interesting to see if BYU can do it.

They had the #1 ranking before yesterdays game as well.

They have a good shot at winning out, but I don't see them winning at SDSU and the MWC tourney is a crap shoot. Someone like UNLV or Colorado State could beat BYU in the tourney. I think it would be difficult for the selection committee to give a MWC team a #1 seed no matter what the rankings say. I don't remember who but someone on TV (ESPN I believe) was saying that even if SDSU went undefeated, they'd only get a 2 seed at best. I think SDSU and BYU get 3 seeds.
